Eugene started his career working for major UK contractors, becoming a very experienced quantity surveyor / commercial manager, but since 2003 has also specialised in construction contract law and dispute resolution. He is a qualified Barrister*, Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Chartered Civil Engineering Surveyor and Chartered Builder.
Eugene has worked in the construction industry for over thirty years, with a wide range of organizations involved in numerous sectors of the industry. He has experience on a variety of projects, including commercial offices, hotels, leisure centres, schools, colleges, hospitals, wind farms, nuclear facilities, industrial facilities, rail, motorways, prestige residential developments and social housing developments.
Eugene advises on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters, including in respect of construction contracts, collateral warranties, adjudication and quantity surveying techniques. He is also a visiting lecturer at Coventry University and regularly lectures on JCT and NEC3/4 forms of contract, including as Guest Speaker at the Cambridge Seminar in October 2014. In addition, Eugene is a Review Examiner for the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors.
